Our Beliefs Encapsulated

We believe that Jesus is the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. (Matthew 28:19; John 5:43, 10:30, 12:45, 14:8–9; Philippians 2:9-11) All the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily in Jesus Christ. (Colossians 2:9) Salvation is a free gift to all who repent of their sins, are baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and are filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. (Acts 2:38, 4:12, 10:44–48; Ephesians 2:8, 4:5) We believe that we are a chosen people, separated from the world, called to live a holy life both inwardly and outwardly. (1 Peter 2:9; 2 Corinthians 6:17-18)

The Bible

The Bible is divinely inspired and God-breathed (pneuma). It is true in all that it teaches and stands as the infallible Word of God. It is our final authority in all doctrine, practice, and daily living. (2 Timothy 3:15–17)

The Oneness of God

We believe in the absolute Oneness of God as declared in the Scriptures: “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD.” (Deuteronomy 6:4) Jesus is the full manifestation of the one true God in bodily form. (Isaiah 44:6–8; Colossians 2:9; Ephesians 4:5–6)

Sin and Salvation

All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Salvation is available to all through grace, by faith, and by the atoning work of Jesus Christ. (Psalm 51:5; Romans 3:23–25, 6:23; Ephesians 2:8–9)

The Gospel

The Gospel is the good news of Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. We obey the Gospel through repentance (death to sin), baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (burial), and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost (resurrection). This threefold experience is the consistent pattern found throughout the early church. (1 Corinthians 15:1–4; Acts 2:4, 37–39; Acts 10, 19:1–7; Romans 6:3–4)

Christian Living

As believers, we are called to love God and others, worship joyfully, and live lives that honor Jesus in thought, word, action, and appearance. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Ghost, and we are empowered to live righteously by His Spirit. We believe the gifts of the Spirit are for the church today. (Mark 12:28–31; 1 Corinthians 6:19, 12:8–10; Romans 8:13–14; Galatians 5:19–26; 2 Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:14)

Healing

Divine healing was purchased by the stripes of Jesus and is available to all believers through the prayer of faith. In our services, we anoint the sick with oil and pray for healing. Prayer cloths are also available. (Isaiah 53:5; James 5:14–16; Acts 19:11–12; Mark 16:17–18)

Heaven and Hell

Heaven is the eternal reward for those who have obeyed the Gospel and lived a holy life. (Matthew 5:3, 6:20; John 14:1–3; 1 Peter 1:4) Hell is a literal place of eternal separation from God, described in Scripture as a place of torment and fire. (Matthew 25:41; Revelation 20:12–15, 21:8)

The Future

Jesus Christ will return to catch away His church. The dead in Christ will rise first, and the living believers will be caught up to meet Him in the air. We believe in living prepared for His soon return. (Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Revelation 20:11–15)
