Our History

The story of Christian Life Church in Magee, Mississippi is one of obedience, vision, and the unwavering hand of God. It began with a calling — not to a city of comfort, but to a field ready for harvest.

On April 19, 2009, Pastor J.R. McEntyre, along with his wife Sister DeAnna McEntyre and their family, answered the call of the Lord and came to Magee to plant an Apostolic church. With a passion for truth and a vision for revival, they launched what would become Christian Life Church — a Spirit-filled, Jesus Name church rooted in the Acts 2:38 message.

The early years were marked by sacrifice, prayer, and tireless outreach. Souls were baptized in Jesus’ name, believers were filled with the Holy Ghost, and lives were changed. In time, God provided a dedicated church building, and what started as a small congregation began to grow into a thriving community of faith.

Over the years, CLC has grown — not by the strength of men, but by the power of the Holy Ghost. Many have been saved, restored, and commissioned through the ministry of Christian Life Church. It has truly become a place where “Hope Starts.”

Today, Christian Life Church continues to reach the city of Magee and beyond with Apostolic doctrine, passionate worship, and a deep love for people. What began as a vision in the heart of a pastor has become a church that stands as a beacon of hope in Simpson County — and we believe the best is still to come.
